Black Wednesday

This is the highest-rated story at folklore.org, and for good reason—you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll wonder how anybody ever got along with Steve Jobs. This episode has been the most fun to rehearse and produce so far and I hope it shows.

Not even 48 hours after I announced Macintosh Folklore Radio to the Mac press, I’ve had thousands of visitors from all over the world drop by and have pushed 20GB worth of stories. I started out with 6 people having listened to the welcome message and now over a thousand people have heard my floppy disk techno (thanks for the compliment, Edward).

I have been very, very touched by the few thank you e-mails that I received. I’m just getting started here!

Haha, marvellous stuff. I just wish my iTunes would auto-download the previous episodes too.

Otherwise this looks the first podcast I really might be interested in.

Very entertaining, particularly for those of us who remember staring wide-eyed at that odd-looking creation at the unveiling in January of 1984 and wondering how we'd ever be able afford to buy one.

Thanks, Andy, for preserving your memories. And Derek, thanks for giving a voice to the history.

Thanks a lot for doing this. I had MacLust since January 1984! I watched the superbowl ad and read the newsweek, and hung out in computerstores, but I was a newlywed with my firstborn on the way, and got my first Mac (a +) in 86. I smiled so wide when I heard your disk-drive intro mix!! Thanks again, if I can help with any design or anything, please contact me!

    Thanks again!

    Ah! This is so NICE!
I love to hear this when I'm out and traveling. Please make more podcasts! I Love it!
I have a old mac, and I still love it (and use it!)

We have always told you that you had a voice for the Radio. Nice to see that you've put your talent to use. (Maybe you'd be surprised to know that I own a PowerBook.)
